About Me
As a Postdoctoral researcher at Institut Pasteur, I am deeply engrossed in unravelling the intricacies of viral protein structures within the context of host-pathogen interactions. My journey towards this role began at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where I pursued my Ph.D in Structural Biochemistry from July 2017 to August 2023. Besides, I successfully defended my thesis in December 2023 and was awarded a Ph.D.
During my doctoral years, I delved into the fascinating realm of staphylococcal superantigens and superantigen-like proteins. My research extended to employing cutting-edge techniques in structure-based drug design to target bacterial genes, aiming for innovative solutions against microbial threats.
My expertise spans a wide array of techniques, including molecular biology for gene manipulation, protein purification techniques, and biophysical methods to characterize molecular structures. I am adept at structure modelling, employing molecular docking to understand molecular interactions, performing molecular dynamics simulations for dynamic insights, and harnessing bioinformatics tools for data analysis and interpretation.
This diverse skill set has not only equipped me to navigate complex scientific challenges but has also fueled my passion for advancing our understanding of infectious diseases. At Institut Pasteur, I am dedicated to leveraging these skills to contribute significantly to the field of molecular virology, with a keen focus on elucidating viral protein structures and their implications in host-pathogen dynamics.
Outside of my research endeavours, I am committed to fostering collaborations, sharing knowledge through publications and presentations, and contributing actively to the scientific community's growth and development.
